Long story short, Patreon moved their company to the UK resulting in triggering a mass auto-decline, or fraudulent payments for “suspicious activity” on peoples credit cards. If you’re a patron of mine or other creators you support and you want to fix this, you can call your bank to confirm the charge as non-fraud or change your payment method to paypal. So this afternoon my Patreon was suspended due to breaking the sites guidelines. I have only a few extra details on my site about it, but for the most part am in the dark on the direct reason until someone over at Patreon gets back to me over email.
While this is extremely disappointing, I am not going to let it ruin my week. I have some plans on how I will be moving forward once the suspension is lifted, and while it’s not optimal for me, having no income due to the suspension is much worst.
